About Hawaii Maunakea Meteor Database
This database was created by analyzing and automatically detecting meteors from the YouTube videos of the "Hawaii Maunakea Night Sky Live" provided by the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan and The Asahi Shimbun using Python.

- The videos and images used in this database are provided with the permission of the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan and The Asahi Shimbun.
- This service is provided experimentally by aiharasoft.com, and the operation and specifications of the service may change without prior notice.
- The meteor detection results may include false positives from satellites, lightning, clouds, airplanes, or noise and are not guaranteed to be accurate.
- The observation period is roughly from sunset on the island of Hawaii (40 minutes before the end of astronomical twilight) to sunrise (40 minutes after the start of astronomical twilight).
- The database is updated every 5 minutes. There may be a few minutes of delay in image uploads. If images are not displayed, please reload the page after a few minutes.
